NyKlang: Per Nørgård in memoriam

NyKlang – Klang’s yearly project working with young pre-consevatory composers – stages it’s third edition, this time in collaboration with the new, ground-breaking ensemble Ear Transplant.

Composers from three MGK centres have formed collaborative groups in which Ear Transplant serve as sparring partners, mentors, and performers, lending their experienced sense for timbre, gesture, and stage presence. This concert at ALICE CPH is dedicated to Per Nørgård, who died in 2025, and whose famous ‘infinity series’ underpins all of the works presented.

All NyKlang participants study at MGK with teachers Daniel Fladmose and Matthew Grouse. This pre-conservatory field carries a particular energy, marked by courage, curiosity, and a desire to explore new rules before they harden into habits.
