Archive of Emotions and Experiences I & II opens the door to a piano universe where music becomes a living archive. Here we encounter the pianist as an oracle from a fictional future, who is recording and preserving human feelings and experiences before they vanish, and before it is too late.

As an audience, we are invited to listen not only with our ears but with our whole being. Each tone is a trace, an imprint of something human that would otherwise disappear. The music becomes a shared archive, one we create and inhabit together for a moment.

After the concert, we invite you to a reception with a glass of bubbles

The concert is presented in collaboration with Second Sound, a concert association dedicated to promoting awareness of and interest in new compositional music, with a focus on works the association believes deserve to be performed again.

Artists

Nikolaus von Bemberg (1991)

Pianist and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his surprising and unconventional programs. He specializes in contemporary mixed media works and music that incorporates performative elements. At the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, he recently conducted an artistic research project challenging the role of the classical pianist.
