In Evagoras Apokidis debut concert from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, the Greek-Cypriot composer explores everyday situations through three pieces that combine speech, electronics, and chamber music. Constructed as a series of monologues and dialogues, the pieces are more concerned with finding new ways of asking questions than to reach particular answers or conclusions. Apokidis describes the concert as akin to the experience of being presented with a fragment of a story without having access to the beginning or the end. In other words, Apokidis is an artist who is unafraid to instigate feelings of frustration or disillusion.

The three pieces are deeply varied in form and instrumentation. The first piece, for mixed ensemble, uses the voice as a medium for raw emotional expression, not through structured sentences or meaningful discourse but solely through interjections. The second piece is a solo double bass performance featuring a monologue in which the performer probes the question, "How did things turn out this way?". Attempting to assign fault, the piece ultimately offers no resolution. The third and final piece is for string trio. In this piece, the performers engage in dead-end dialogues surrounding an unanswered question —one that feels significant but cannot be recalled or resolved.
