Dybwik Dans: OvO
"How wide the world is!", said all the children. "Do you think this is all the world?", said the mother.
OvO is an interactive concert performance for the youngest children aged 6-24 months. The performance is inspired by H.C. Andersen's fairy tale The Ugly Duckling and the big world that surrounds the duckling. A crawling, preverbal audience is invited into a world of wonder and eggs in all their varieties.
The abstract approach to the fairy tale makes room for the children's curiosity. The wonderful and strange aspects of H. C. Andersen's fairy tale unfold in new ways through an improvisation-based interaction, where sound and movement explore moods from the original story – including the transformation from duckling to swan.
