Swedish-born and Danish-based Alexandra Hallén is a multifaceted artist, composer and performer who always tries to challenge herself. You never really know what to expect when you arrive at one of Hallén's performances. But one thing is certain: when you leave again, something will stick with you. As a cellist, Alexandra Hallén is as passionate as she is brave, and she is known for her detail-oriented approach and her passionate energy. Her willingness to always explore new, expanded techniques and thus push the boundaries of cello playing has resulted in close collaborations with many different composers.

To the list of the many different composers can now be added Hallén's very own students: A group of young, aspiring composers who, under her guidance, create the music of the future. They have written a number of completely new works for solo cello, which Hallén is premiering for this concert. The meeting between very young, imaginative composers and a performer who does not believe in limitations cannot fail to arouse curiosity. Who knows how it will sound?
