Blågårds Pl. 6A
Humming and fiddling, singing bits and pieces – Singsongs and Nitpickings is the name of the concert.
The finely registering sound world of Poleukhina invites the listener to explore with a listening microscope a universe consisting of fragile, multi-faceted sounds. Likewise in Rykova's Quest #, the listener is invited on a listening exploration, but this one will be a new one every time. The partiture is graphic, the instrumentation is undefined. White's by now famous (infamous?) work is built on small changes making a clear difference in sound. Sciarrino makes the sound details flying, light and delicate, and the music glides away gently, as if it is almost out of earshot. The brand-new work at the concert is by Martin Rane Bauck, who is one of the founders of Aksiom Ensemble, one part of this Danish-Norwegian musical fraternization together with NJYD from Denmark.
