Ars Nova Copenhagen presents a program with music from before the functional harmony took over, and from before it had moved on. Old and new that shines a light on each other through centuries.
At 21.00 there is SNYK Talks - Nordlyd with Ivar Frounberg, Professor Emeritus from Musikkhøjskolen in Oslo, that meets the composers of Nordlyd.
At 21.30 Berlin based Adapter Ensemble performs the world premieres of pieces written by three young composers for the second part of KLANG festival's project Nordlyd: Nordlyd II: Af en asylants dagbog. The three composers are active musicians, they are born in one country but resides in another. They have been asked to create music about identity, the North, the notion of being-home-but-not-quite and more.

At 22.30 KLANG 2017 rounds up the festival with the first award of the Pelle Prize! KLANG and Wilhelm Hansen celebrate this year's composer. In the spirit of Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, we are celebrating a young artist who dares to meet the standards of the time. Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen passed away on 27th of June 2016, 83 years old. He was one of Denmark's most significant composers, and was more than anyone else, leading the new young generation of composers. He was a rebel artist who, especially towards the end of his life, achieved great success.
