Two of Denmark's leading ensembles specialising in contemporary music have joined forces in this evening's anniversary concert in Den Sorte Diamant. Pierre André Valade conducts the world premiere of two works and furthermore the performance of three somewhat older works. All five works have been composed within the decade, in which the festival has existed.

The work by Bent Sørense is called Tunnels de Lumiére, tunnels of light. It is one among many of Sørensen's works circling around light, light and shadow, twilight and all thinkable kinds of luminous effects.

Rune Glerup has worked with many pieces with sounding objects. A kind of sound building stones illuminating and colouring each other. This also applies to his piano concert, where, in spite of the repeated and sometimes contrasting sound objects, you sense a developing expression, gradually turning less edgy, less categorical.

The work by Li-Ying Wu contains repeated objects or parts too. A ritornello is a dance in three parts, and into it is woven the inspiration from the mating dance of the Galapagos albatross.
