to KLANG 2018
KLANG - Copenhagen Avantgarde Music Festival is Denmark's largest festival for contemporary music. 29 May - 8 June 2018 KLANG takes place in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg for the tenth time - bigger and more divers than ever before.
How does today's music creators work? - What do they think and how does the music contribute to shaping the communities in which we live? These are some of the issues we focus on when the festival over 11 days in May and June runs across a number of the capital's scenes.
The answers are probably many and ambiguous - for what characterizes the arts if not individualism and unique answers? Is it through the visual and dramatic that the depths of music are revealed? May be you can get the answers when KLANG presents three dramatic and visual orchestra concerts and opera.
Is it through the diversity of expressions presented when over 30 Danish and international ensembles and soloists present world class chamber music that we can get an insight into the world's pulse?
The music presented at KLANG is created right now - in our present time! This very special music offers exciting alternative ways of human and social understanding. And everyone has the right to participate! Therefore, we have created a number of day events for music and art lovers in all age groups: There are music for children and young people, Open KLANG for those who want an introduction to contemporary music and other contemporary music in soft frames for a new and curious audience.
Come and join ... Welcome to KLANG 2018.
